Experience

• Local Authority Social Worker in Inner London in Child Protection Team.

• Extensive experience of all statutory child care work.

• Social Worker in Fostering and Adoption Team

• Guardian ad Litem for fifteen years on the Inner and North London Panel and South London Panel undertaking detailed risk assessment of children’s situations. Acted as Mentor on both Panels to new Guardians.

• Sat on appointment and re-appointment interviewing panels for Guardian applicants.

Work currently undertaken

• Play therapy assessments and treatment.

• Weekly play therapy clinic for Herts Social Services in their Post Adoption Team

• Supervision for BAPT students and qualified therapists

• Independent social work reports prepared for Courts on instructions from solicitors including - parenting assessments and detailed assessments of relatives as potential carers. Assessment of children’s needs within care proceedings.
